Jaipur is called the Pink City because in 1876, the city was painted pink to welcome Prince Albert, the Prince of Wales. The tradition of maintaining the pink color continues today.
The best time to visit Jaipur is October to March when the weather is cool and pleasant. Summers (April–June) can be very hot, while monsoons (July–September) bring occasional rainfall.
